Dear Member,

There are so many opportunities out in the business world
that have presented themselves to me lately. I use to think
that networking was done only in "networking groups". What I
have learned in the past year is that relationships are
built everywhere you go. The key people that know you often
present opportunities that could be valuable to you, your
business and you personally. It is up to each one of us to
look at each encounter with people as a gift and an
opportunity to make an impact on their lives.
I need to thank several of my key connectors for recent
connections. Barbara Susin who go involved me in
The Transition Network. Chad Coe who got me involved
with
Second Saturdays and the Center for Women. And the
wonderful women of
NAWBO that introduced me to
Athena Powerlink. Each of these people have had a huge
impact on my business and my life. If I had not looked at
the opportunities presented to me, I would not be in the
position I am in now with my business.
I challenge each of you to look at opportunities that are
presented to you by key people in your life. Evaluate each
opportunity and understand the reasons why those influencers
in your life have chosen you to be involved. Find the
contribution you can make and give it freely and in
abundance. It always comes back to you in some way.

N - Needs - What do you need right now? (Accountant, new
web site, a receptionist etc...)
N - Neighborhood - What neighborhood did you grow up in
and are you living in now (Lincolnwood, Bucktown, West side
etc...)
E - Enjoyment - What do you do outside of work that you
enjoy (Football league, knitting, travel etc...)

(Corporations, Consumers living in the west loop, At home
moms) Power Partners - State your Power Partners. These are
businesses that compliment you, but are not in competition
with you. (A travel agent would have power partners with
hotels, airlines, car rental agencies etc...) Birthday - I
don't need a year, but a month and date would be nice.
